India is home to nearly 5.7 million amputees and about 32 million individuals with mobility limitations, many of whom experience significant difficulty in performing daily activities, particularly in operating electrical appliances. Existing smart home solutions based on IoT, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi are often expensive, technically complex, and impractical in resource-constrained settings, thereby limiting accessibility and independence for these users. To overcome these challenges, a novel solution in the form of a wearable Electromyography (EMG) stump cover is proposed. The device enables automation and control of conventional household electrical appliances without relying on standard wireless communication technologies. It functions by detecting electrical signals produced during muscle contractions in the residual limb, which are then processed and translated into control commands for appliances such as lights, fans, and televisions. The system is designed to be cost-effective, reliable, and easy to use, ensuring wider adoption across diverse socio-economic groups. This approach has the potential to significantly improve autonomy and quality of life for amputees and individuals wi
