Ready Freddie: School Already? is a funny, heartwarming story about confidence, mistakes, and learning that being ready doesn't mean being perfect.
Freddie is sure he's completely ready for school-super-duper, all-set, and absolutely prepared. But as his morning unfolds, things don't go quite as planned. From mismatched shoes and missing homework to spills, slips, and classroom mix-ups, Freddie's big confidence quickly turns into a day full of unexpected surprises.
With lively, expressive illustrations and playful, rhythmic storytelling, this charming picture book captures the real-life moments every child (and parent) knows all too well. Freddie's journey is filled with humor, energy, and relatable oops moments that gently show how mistakes are part of learning and growing.
As the day goes on, Freddie begins to slow down, listen, and try again-discovering that being ready isn't about rushing or getting everything right the first time. It's about patience, persistence, and having the courage to keep going.
Perfect for children ages 4-8, Ready Freddie: School Already? is ideal for:
- First day of school jitters
- Building confidence and independence
- Social-emotional learning (SEL)
- Classroom read-alouds and bedtime stories
This engaging story also includes interactive pages at the end, encouraging children to reflect, think, and participate-making it more than just a book, but an experience.
Part of the Ready Freddie series, this book helps young readers understand that everyone makes mistakes-and every try again brings them one step closer to getting it right.
Because being ready doesn't mean being perfect... it means not giving up.
