This book presents the sizing of a photovoltaic system connected to the grid, using the roof of the Tucuruí Lake Technology Park (Tecnolago) in Tucuruí/PA as the object of study. It highlights the importance of solar energy in the Brazilian context, its growth in the electricity matrix and the potential for diversifying renewable sources. The methodology included surveying the dimensions of the roof, analyzing local solar irradiation and defining the technical parameters of the photovoltaic modules, inverters, conductors, transformers and protection devices, in accordance with current standards. The project resulted in an installed capacity of approximately 2,580 kWp, capable of generating an average of 336 MWh per month. More than 3,880 modules were planned for the north and south roofs, integrated with inverters of different powers, ensuring efficiency and operational safety. The conclusion is that the system contributes to reducing electricity costs and mitigating environmental impacts, reinforcing its technical viability and the strategic role of photovoltaic energy as a clean and renewable source.
