In this Book, pure and Zinc-doped manganese oxide nanoparticles were prepared and deposited using the spray pyrolysis deposition method, with doping concentration in atomic percentage of 2, 4, 6 and 8% on glass substrate. XRD, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR and hall effect characterization was carried out on each sample in order to determine the optical and electrical properties of the nanoparticles. However, the XRD pattern confirm the crystal structure of the nanoparticles with peaks values corresponding to 100, 002, 101, 102, 110, 103, and 112 crystallographic planes with average crystal size of 22.45nm and a tensile strain of compression observed at Zn:8%MnO2 with value of -0.0002897. The UV characterization was used to determine the optical properties of the nanoparticle at the wavelength range 190-1200 nm were the energy band gap of 1.94-3.61eV was obtained. The FTIR confirm the presence of manganese oxide chemical composition of the nanostructures, and the hall effect characterization was use to determined electrical properties of the thin film with a lowest resistivity of 1.264 x 104Ω which is highly considerable for photovoltaic application.
