A model is a representation of a system made of concepts, mathematical formulas and calculations to predict and understand the data. A model can be physical or conceptual. Simulation is the implementation of model to study the behavior and performance of a system. It allows systems to optimize and predict. Modeling and simulation have broad spectrum of applications in other areas. Some of these are system engineering, training and education support, and analysis support.
