Contemporary Russian society faces a number of pressing socioeconomic problems, among which unemployment plays a particularly significant role. Job loss or prolonged unemployment has a negative impact not only on citizens' financial situation but also on their social status, psychological well-being, self-esteem, and ability to adapt. Unemployment is not only an economic phenomenon but also a deeply social one, affecting the interests of the individual, the family, the local community, and the state as a whole. The purpose of this study is to examine and evaluate the mechanisms for the social adaptation of unemployed citizens implemented by the Office for Poverty Reduction and Employment, as well as to develop practical recommendations for improving them.
