Inilah salah sebuah terjemahan Injil Melayu yang terawal dan terpenting, dan ia berbeza sama sekali daripada terjemahan Indonesia Shellabear yang lebih lewat.
This edition presents the complete New Testament verse by verse in two languages, side by side: the English of the King James Version (1611) and the Malay of Kitab Alkudus, the Romanised High Malay New Testament of Benjamin Peach Keasberry (1853, revised 1866), reproduced in its original nineteenth-century Straits spelling. The same passage stands on the same line in both columns, so each tongue illuminates the other. A glossary at the back explains the most important archaic words of the King James text.
