I began in 2005. I could not have imagined back then I would be doing business with the county Recorder and county Treasurer, along with the departments of Assessor, Cartography and Streets and Road, or I would name a road and have roads signs manufactured. I enjoyed my friendship with Mike Haywood my land surveyor, and with Candace, who smoothly handled all my title paperwork. I learned to successfully write and present documents to Superior Court. I would learn about and become involved in tax lien auctions. I have viewed properties in snow and mud, on the wrong side of a flash flood, tumbling rock and have driven on roads that are not roads. Soon, I will foreclose on a tax lien property without lawyer assistance. I have done all this and much more without book-worming real estate manuals or working for one. I am self-taught, learning on the go and listening to the title people, land surveyor and the good folk at the county. When your name is on the deed, and your truths are county recorded documents, the possibilities are limitless. If you are willing NO landlord, neon sign, lock and key, operating hour, and calendar, this book might be for you. One thing for certain, when walking a property you will have an audience of burro, mustang, wolf, coyote, llama, elk, and steer. If you have common sense, real estate is for you. If you have a sense for adventure, fun and thinking independently, then Land Master Wisdom might be worth the read.
