The primary objective of this study is to highlight the individual and collective implications associated with the denial of recognition to employees. The research is situated within an organizational context, in which various theoretical frameworks regarding the phenomenon in question are discussed. To this end, roles at different hierarchical levels were examined, confirming the impact of the lived experience and its repercussions on both individual and collective spheres, which supports the theories proposed by the authors referenced here. This is a qualitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study that analyzes the denial of recognition from operational, tactical, and strategic perspectives, delving into the subjectivity of each participant. The data obtained revealed that employees at all levels-leaders, colleagues, and clients-in both public and private organizations have experienced this issue. This triggers psychosocial and organizational impacts, as well as psychopathologies that cause general distress and limitations in the conduct of their personal and professional lives.
