In der Erwachsenenbildung entscheidet nicht allein, ob ein Thema gut erklärt, eine Methode passend gewählt oder ein Ziel erreicht wird. Lernen entsteht in einem Zusammenspiel aus Person, Aufgabe, Raum, Gruppe, Zeit, Sprache und institutionellem Rahmen. Besonders unter neurodivergenten Bedingungen werden Faktoren bedeutsam, die im Bildungsalltag leicht übersehen werden: Scham, Reizverarbeitung, Selbststeuerung, Erschöpfung, soziale Bewertung, unklare Erwartungen, Übergänge, Rückmeldungen und Gruppendynamik.
Das Buch beschreibt, wie erwachsene Lernende in Kursen, Beratungen, Ausbildungen und Weiterbildungen sichtbar oder unsichtbar werden. Rückzug, wiederholtes Nachfragen, starke Reaktionen auf Kritik, Abbrüche oder Schweigen werden nicht vorschnell als Desinteresse, Widerstand oder mangelnde Belastbarkeit gedeutet. Stattdessen fragt der Text, welche Bedingungen solche Situationen mit hervorbringen und welche Formen von Orientierung, Beteiligung und Würde möglich bleiben.
Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei nicht nur die Lernenden. Auch Kursleitende, Beratende, Lernbegleitende, Ausbildende, Praxisanleitende, Programmverantwortliche und Führungskräfte in Bildungseinrichtungen geraten in den Blick. Sie handeln zwischen Bildungsauftrag, Beziehung, Gruppe, Zeitdruck, institutionellen Vorgaben, Datenschutz, Fairness und eigenen Grenzen. Das Buch zeigt, dass professionelle Verantwortung nicht grenzenlose Zuständigkeit bedeutet, sondern geklärte Rollen, verständliche Anforderungen, tragfähige Strukturen und eine Sprache, die Belastung ernst nimmt, ohne Menschen auf Defizite zu reduzieren.
Und wer sieht mich? ist kein Ratgeber, keine Diagnostik und keine therapeutische Anleitung. Es liefert keine einfachen Rezepte für komplexe Bildungssituationen. Stattdessen bietet es eine fachliche Sprache für Lagen, die in der Erwachsenenbildung häufig unscharf bleiben:
