Because it has no negative impact on environment, nowadays, dimethyl ether (DME) has been received many attention. DME can be produced by methanol dehydration over a solid acid catalyst. The new nano-sized porous γ-Al2O3 with high surface area, high activity, and appropriate acidity was prepared for this purpose. The synthesized catalyst was successfully tested in the fixed bed reactor for production of DME from Methanol. The experimental procedure and other scientific works in this field has been completely explained in this book.
