This book presents the comprehensive design, development, and experimental validation of a high-efficiency two-rotor axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) generator optimized for wind energy systems. The proposed generator features a dual-rotor, single-stator configuration with surface-mounted permanent magnets and concentrated windings, aimed at achieving high torque density and compact structure ideal for direct-drive wind turbine applications. A systematic design approach was employed, encompassing electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical aspects. Analytical modeling and mathematical formulations were developed to determine key parameters such as magnetic flux density, torque output, back EMF, and losses. The design was further refined using finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize air gap flux distribution, minimize cogging torque, and ensure structural integrity under operational stresses.
