People with disabilities or deafness have great difficulty finding employment due to the stigma constructed by society, especially in the organizational environment, based on their condition. Thus, even though these people are productive, their skills and abilities are belittled, and they are labeled as incompetent, being marginalized from employment opportunities in favor of so-called normal people. The studies contained in this thesis seek to uncover how the stigma of disability and deafness is constructed in the workplace and in everyday life, in the daily relationships that are established at work, based on the analysis of an experience of integration into an organization of a group of people with disabilities or deafness.
