The study deals with economic, political and social activities in the Adamaoua locality and its prospects for boosting taxation and the economy of Cameroon. The descriptive problem in this context is the role played by the Adamaoua customs sector in maintaining and consolidating the missions assigned to it by the General Directorate of Customs in Cameroon. Inspired by the French customs system, Cameroonian customs was given special missions to enable it to fulfill its duties to the full, and these missions have been grouped into two main categories: special missions and ancillary missions.Customs also plays an important commercial role, as it is responsible for implementing and monitoring exchange rate policy and the data needed to develop trade. Thanks to the statistical and revenue figures produced by customs, the administration understands whatever products are taken abroad; similarly, it is also able to understand the needs of consumer products for domestic markets.
