Hill traces the word from the breath of God that produced it, through the canon that recognized it and the manuscripts that preserved it, to the authority it holds over tradition, experience, and every earthly power.
This is a theology of Scripture that refuses the divorce of academy, pulpit, and pew. Every chapter carries genuine exegesis of the biblical languages, closes with a word for the preacher, and lands where the ground gives way. It answers where the Bible came from, why it can be trusted, and what a God who is Love-Liberator asks of the reader who dares to open it.
