This book tells the story of Paul and Walburga Kraemer from June 1866, when Paul and Walburga arrived in New York City, to their journey to Wisconsin, to their stay for a year in Fredonia, Ozaukee County near Milwaukee, to their purchase of a farm east of Plain, to the birth of their children and to their retirement years in the 1890s and beyond. It also tells the story of their children: Frances Kraemer who married Edward Weidner; Joseph Kraemer who married Anna Brechtl and Theresa Eckstein; John Kraemer who married Mary Schutz and Mary Schwartz; Theresa Kraemer who married Martin Meister; and Margaret Kraemer who married Joseph Ruhland. Wisconsin Kraemers III will cover Peter Kraemer, his three wives and their children from the 1860s to the year 2000. Wisconsin Kraemers I, published earlier, was about the Kraemers from 1649 to 1866 in Tiefenbach, Altenschneeberg and Irlach, Bavaria, Germany.
