André Gide, having taken a different path from the writers of his time, succeeded in bridging the gap between the traditional novel and the new novel. In his one and only novel, *Les Faux-Monnayeurs*, André Gide piled up everything that belonged to tradition and set it ablaze. He then replaced it with reflections on his own philosophy of life. According to the writer's view on happiness, if a person wants to fully savor life, they must follow the voice of their heart rather than that of tradition. André Gide demonstrated the power of his writing in this novel. In this work, which is rich in literary techniques, the adventure of writing in the making is highlighted. Thus, the novel, with its impressive depth, also reveals cinematic elements reflected in this realm. The unfolding of the plot in the novel is yet another distinctive feature, as it moves backward rather than forward. As for the novel's content, human hypocrisy is highlighted very clearly. Some people lead deceitful lives and believe they are benefiting from it.
