What does genuine Christian faith look like when no one else is watching?
Words of Counsel and Warning confronts the difference between outward religious profession and a life truly governed by Jesus Christ. With direct biblical reasoning, this updated classic calls readers to examine their faith, motives, conduct, speech, relationships, and spiritual priorities in the light of Jehovah's inspired Word.
The chapters address the danger of hypocrisy, the meaning of genuine repentance, the marks of living faith, the subtle process of spiritual drift, and Jesus' warning that merely calling Him Lord does not replace obedience. Yet this is not a message of hopeless condemnation. It shows how the repentant believer can rely upon Christ's atoning sacrifice, correct a wrong course, rebuild spiritual strength, and continue faithfully on the path leading to eternal life.
Written for Christians who desire honest self-examination rather than shallow reassurance, this volume combines serious warning with practical counsel. It challenges complacency, exposes false confidence, strengthens humble assurance, and encourages wholehearted discipleship.
These pages ask every reader one unavoidable question: Does my present way of life demonstrate that Jesus Christ is truly my Lord?
