The Textus Receptus: The Received Text of the New Testament traces the development of the Byzantine textual tradition, the work of Desiderius Erasmus, Robert Estienne, Theodore Beza, and the Elzevir printers, and the influence of the Received Text upon Luther, Tyndale, the King James Version, and later Protestant scholarship. It also examines the rise of critical editions, the discoveries of early papyri and majuscule manuscripts, and the arguments advanced by Majority Text and King James Version-Only defenders.
