This study examined heterogeneity within compulsive sexual behavior disorder (CSBD) using latent class analysis to identify distinct behavioral and psychological profiles among adult men. Indicators included high-risk but legal and illegal sexual behavior patterns, trauma exposure and symptomology, entitlement beliefs, co-occurring personality disorders, substance use, and demographic factors. Although some behaviors examined carry potential legal consequences, CSBD is conceptualized as distinct from populations defined by sexual offending. A three-class solution emerged, reflecting differences in behavioral stability and psychological risk factors. Multinomial logistic regression analyses indicated that trauma history, entitlement beliefs, and co-occurring psychological symptoms significantly differentiated class membership. Findings support the presence of meaningful subgroups within CSBD and suggest the potential utility of risk-based diagnostic specifiers to improve assessment and treatment planning. Implications for diagnostic conceptualization, clinical assessment, and future research are discussed.
