Recently, upper eyelid blepharoplasty has become one of the most commonly practiced aesthetic operations. This procedure is different from the double-fold operations performed mainly in teenagers and persons in their early twenties and entirely for aesthetic purposes. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty primarily conducted in aged persons, while also addressing aesthetic concerns, include methods to rejuvenate the periorbital area and provide unobstructed eyesight. The upper eyelid blepharoplasty in aged persons are often accompanied with the blepharoptosis caused by dehiscence or stretching of the aponeurosis itself to the tarsus. My procedures to apply in both esthetic and blepharoptosis include: The plication procedures of posterior membranous septum and turn-over orbital septum to 2mm below the tarsus addressed in this book attempt to be minimally invasive and can be used to achieve double-fold aesthetic appearance and correct blepharoptosis. The procedures are relatively short-lived. And so, to create consistent and longer-lasting results traditional levator complex tucking including levator aponeurosis & Müller's muscle can be added.
