THE LONGER ROAD HOME is the fictional life story of Sam Freberg, an idealistic, troubled, gay Jewish musician born into a dysfunctional working class family in the 1940s. In his college years Sam discovers his same-sex orientation and comes out in the hostile environment prevalent in LA in the 60s.
