A hidden flaw in the Telpher's human interface might be responsible for entangling the fates of two women who live in different times: an astrobiologist and a starship navigator. Jana Anders, a 24th century starship navigator copes with her ship's warp drive failure that sends it into the distant past, to an unknown region of the galaxy. A woman she may never know might be able to help, but time is running out for the two to meet. 21st century astrobiologist Sonja Bellesario uses telepathy and radio telescopes to listen for messages from outer space that might help her pursue her destiny in the stars. When a message comes she's not prepared for its consequences. The two women have one thing in common. For one it's a blessing in disguise; for the other a painful disaster. A hidden flaw in the Telpher's human interface might be responsible for entangling these two women's lives. Will the link be discovered in time? Time travel may have unexpected twists.
