This book is excellent introduction for the medical student, intern, resident, or private practitioner trying to learn a new OB/GYN procedure. Each section teaches the important steps involved in the particular surgery, the instrumentation required, and how the procedure needs to be transcribed for the medical record. Topics include transvaginal suburethral sling procedure, vaginal hysterectomy with and without support procedures, abdominal hysterectomy, diagnostic laparoscopy, and sterilization procedures. The book is an excellent resource for avoiding the pitfalls of many complications and possible malpractice litigation.
