This study addresses the issue of the organization of the translation market in Senegal, with the aim of exploring that market. Specifically, it seeks to identify the dominant players in the market, examine translator training, analyze the main language pairs, establish a typology of translation texts, and identify the challenges facing the market. To achieve these objectives, the study was based on the assumptions that the Senegalese translation market is teeming with key players, translator training remains a challenge, language pairs and translation texts are diverse, and there are issues hindering the market's development. To achieve this, the traditional method of using an interview guide and a questionnaire was adopted. Through this approach, data were collected, and their analysis yielded results capable of providing insight into the reality of the translation market in Senegal. In fact, the results indicate that there are genuine players in this market capable of revitalizing it by creating a conducive environment.
