Embark on a thrilling journey where a young slave's hidden powers could either save the world-or doom it. In a land torn by dark forces and ancient prophecies, the fate of humankind rests in the hands of an unlikely heroine.
Velladriana Ral, a young enslaved girl from Lyndria, and Corwyn Du'Serradyn, an Oslyn cadet from the Glass Tower, discover mystical powers within themselves. Their intertwined destinies set them on a dangerous quest to save or doom humankind. As they journey to Mount Elderstone in search of answers, they must grapple with the challenge of trust in a world rife with treachery, where the world's fate hangs in the balance.
Meanwhile, the Weavers Guild, a powerful and manipulative group, controls information in the Known Kingdoms through deception and intrigue. Their ambition threatens Velladriana and Corwyn's mission as they seek to tighten their grip on power. The Weavers Guild, with their web of lies and deceit, becomes a formidable obstacle in the path of our heroes, adding a layer of complexity and intrigue to the story.
Reese Pelingril, a skilled warrior fleeing a painful past, is responsible for two teens, Dolthaia and Crispin Claxis. Dolthaia, hardened by life in the perilous alleys of Canodria, seeks answers to her mysterious origins, a quest that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Crispin, the spoiled grandson of the legendary wizard Prespertin Claxis, must quickly mature and harness his own powers to survive. Together, they become unlikely allies in the fight against dark forces.
The world of Tarune is on the brink of chaos, with ancient powers awakening and political tensions rising. In the east, dark energy from the ancient battle of the Mourning Night festers within the Great Rift. In the West, kings, queens, and nobility vie for control and supremacy. In the south, the enigmatic Lector Maars gains followers, seeking to destroy the Soul Wagons. In the north, Lord Cartigas and his dark army race against time to dominate the Strands of the Magics.
An ancient prophecy foretells the coming of a great enemy that will challenge the entire world of Tarune. Only by finding the PRIDE and fulfilling this prophecy can the forces of good hope defeat this looming threat. Velladriana's powers may hold the key to salvation or destruction, but the price she must pay could be devastating.
