Adrien was only supposed to meet his friends for the weekend. But when a detour sends him deeper into the mountains, his GPS suddenly loses the road. At the bottom of the valley, he finds Saint-Rive, a fogbound village the maps seem to have forgotten.
It doesn't take long for things to feel wrong. Phones can't keep the right time. Every road leads back to the village. And at nightfall, the residents close their shutters without explanation. Then the bell tolls three times, and a strange parade begins winding through the streets.
Everyone walking in it is dead.
Adrien soon realizes Saint-Rive doesn't just trap the people who wander into it. The longer he stays, the more his memories begin to slip away. Names disappear. Faces fade. Even the reasons he has to leave start to lose their meaning.
With Élise, a young woman who can no longer remember exactly how long she has been in Saint-Rive, Adrien must find a way back to the road before the village takes the last things tying him to the world of the living.
In The Parade, the boundary between the living and the dead begins to blur as memory itself starts to disappear. Because in Saint-Rive, dying may not be the worst thing that can happen to you.
Forgetting that you need to leave might be.
