Practical Recommendations: The RPE method enables coaches to monitor the training process by quantifying the internal load and expressing it as a single number. Among the benefits of using RPE is that it enables coaches to assess and compare the training demands placed on each athlete throughout the training programme (i.e. TKD technique training, aerobic training, high-intensity interval training, plyometric training and speed training). Furthermore, the use of RPE appears to be a reliable, non-invasive method for quantifying training intensities.
