The Bristol House Library :: It began with a Magical Dream that became a desperate reality... Held captive by a stealthy Bristol House infiltrator, not only are Heather, Mrs. Pringle, and the former Winterspirian servant girl, Prella, marched up to the third floor and toward a Darkly ominous PortalDoor to Evermore, but Noble's Sheriff Dane also finds himself caught up in the proceedings - the lawman unexpectedly confronted by one of Mistraya's nefarious scouts while on a dutiful and determined fact-finding visit to the small town's discreetly magical mansion, a mansion that rests majestically atop the tiered and manicured gardens of Thimble Hill. Eventually finding themselves on Evermore's desert planet of SummersBreath Still, Heather and her three companions are surprisingly reunited with the robed warrior, Sedgwar, and the mysterious and evasive Meersommé, both seemingly working as operatives for the Maiden Loyalist Resistance. When they are found out and surrounded by Crown soldiers, the small band of Loyalists hijack a Hover˚Carriage and attempt a daring crosstown escape. As they flee, they are surreptitiously surveilled along their route by the Sorceress Brutessa's SICLOP's KAmmand Center, while being chased not only by SkullSnipers and SpeedSkimmers, but by Brutessa's own Dennuncially Dark magical conjurations and adaptations. And when the relentless pursuers of the Dark prove lacking, and after a series of confrontations are unable to effectively overcome the green-eyed Maiden of the Evermore Portent and her renegade accomplices, the violent, shape-changing sorceress decides to take matters directly into her own hands. All the while, left to begin a new life on her own in Evermore, thinking her mother and best friend, Heather, are dead, Molly Pringle becomes a desperate squatter living among immigrants and castoffs in the Bone Yard on SpringShoot Green. When an unfortunate turn of events leads to a chance meeting in the UnderTown, Molly is provided with counterfeit TravelTaggs and a job working for the notorious hoodlum, StreetWise. But circumstances take a turn for the worse when Molly is betrayed, her honesty and allegiance questioned, and against her will she is led away by the Bleed Police to give of herself to war-torn Evermore the very essence of her soul - her Glissen Sohlarr. It proves to be an invasive procedure that, together with the Glissening patriotically bled, collected, and KAnverted from a vast majority of the Evermorian population, is intended to heal, resurrect, and fortifyingly seal the Realm in a state of everlasting Darkness. Determined to persevere, with her spirit and cognizance diminishing due to the regularly recurring bleeds, a fragile Molly agrees to undertake an entirely new role directly under the nose of her enemies, recruited to covertly work on behalf of the Light and the Loyalist Maiden cause.
