What if your teacher was secretly a spy - and no one else knew?
Mary is an ordinary schoolgirl in London until she discovers that a mysterious group of spies is targeting her best friend, Flamings. What begins with suspicious behaviour and a stolen diary quickly turns into a much bigger adventure involving a hidden spy base, secret missions, magical potions, a spy library, enchanted chocolate, and a plan that could ruin Flamings' life.
With the adults around her unaware of what is really happening, Mary decides that she has to act. She learns the skills of a spy herself, follows clues, takes risks, and discovers just how far she is willing to go to protect her best friend.
The Adventure of the London Spies and Their Mischievous Plan! is a playful young author's adventure about friendship, courage, imagination, and standing up for someone you care about.
A story born during November Writing MonthThis book has its own story behind the story.
It was originally written in November 2025, when its young author took on the NaNoWriMo-inspired challenge of writing a book during a single month. Instead of waiting until he was older to become an author, he simply started writing - chapter by chapter, following his imagination wherever it went.
The result is the story you are holding today: an adventure created by a child, with the humour, unexpected turns, wonderfully strange ideas, and limitless imagination that come with it.
The text has since been prepared for publication while intentionally preserving the young author's original story and voice.
For young readers who dream of creating stories of their own, perhaps there is another message hidden inside Mary's adventure:
You don't have to wait to become a writer. You can start now.
