The Shinning One seeks a way to maintain his power as Jadahal grows to become their rising heart upon Pangias. Meanwhile, Mistress Shania struggles to maintain the faith after nearly losing the ritual and then finding her lord and savior imprisoned. She must rely on Xie and Trina to keep her going.

While all of this transpires within the sect, the heroes struggle to fight back and put an end to the dark machinations predicted by their prophecies. They will not give in. Some, led by Vallen, head to the capital to force the hand of those in charge. The throne and the senate must take action. Others take time to recuperate and plan for the battles that are surely coming. Can they withstand the constant threats delivered by an angry sect in retaliation? Many old faces return to carry on the crusade.
