It has been almost seventeen years since my father's death and as I read back over the experience it was like yesterday. I wanted to update this book as it is still relevant today. I wanted to share my unique, expanded spiritual experiences from the time I wrote the book until now. The following is what I wrote at that time. Years ago, I was a person who didn't think I could stand it if my father died. I felt like I would go to pieces as the loss would be so great. The journey of the last few months of my father's life was so powerful, that I felt compelled to explain how I planned ahead with conscious awareness to make his illness and death my own joyful miracle. I wanted to honor the fact that he had such an impact on my life by dying. His death changed my outer life, as well as my inner life. Had I been lost in my own grief, I would have missed so many joyful miracles. I also wanted to write about the death process for those who are afraid of their own feelings about death or any part of the dying process. Included is updated information on some of the practical aspects related to his illness and death which I found helpful.
