The vibration analysis of the uniform laminated sandwich beam with a viscoelastic (Glass fiber honeycomb) core was studied in this work. Uniform laminated composite sandwich beam was compared with the normal composite beam in context. In the formulation of the finite element model (FEM) for the sandwich beam higher order theory was used for deriving the governing equation of motion for the configuration used in the study. The finite element model was validated with the natural frequencies of experimental values which are presented in the literature. Dynamic characteristics parameter analysis was performed to examine the impact of the core thickness, ply orientation and aspect ratio of the uniform laminated sandwich beam in response to free and forced vibration. It is concluded that the characteristic parameter of a uniform laminated composite sandwich beam was more efficient than the normal composite beam.
