Il Conclave, cuore pulsante della Chiesa, ha espresso la sua volontà , designando come suo successore il 267 Pontefice: Leone XIV. In questo momento di transizione, risuona un antico adagio, carico di significato e di speranza: Il re è morto, viva il re!.
Questa espressione, tradizionalmente legata al passaggio di potere nelle monarchie, acquista qui una valenza spirituale e comunitaria. Essa non celebra solo la fine di un'era, ma soprattutto l'inizio di una nuova. Leone XIV eredita un pesante fardello di sfide e di aspettative, ma porta con sé la freschezza di una nuova guida, nuove prospettive e, presumibilmente, una visione unica per il futuro della Chiesa e del suo ruolo nel mondo.
Leone XIV. Che cosa ci aspetta? si propone di scrutare questo futuro ancora velato dal mistero. Questo libro non è semplicemente una biografia o un'analisi del presente, ma si configura come una prova di prognosi. Basandosi su una meticolosa analisi dei molteplici fattori che hanno plasmato la vita di Robert Francis Prevost - la sua formazione, la sua esperienza missionaria in Perù, il suo servizio come Vescovo e Prefetto, le dinamiche interne alla Chiesa che hanno portato alla sua elezione - cercheremo di intravedere le possibili direzioni del suo pontificato.
Quali saranno le sfide più urgenti che dovrà affrontare e come il suo magistero si inserirà nel solco tracciato dai suoi predecessori, in particolare da Papa Francesco?
