About MaryMary John is a small-town girl with big dreams. From her rural home in the Welsh mountains, she is raising her four adventurous children as a single mother and aspires to live each day to the fullest, to really 'make it count.'
Mary's autobiographical and motivational self-help books are painfully honest about the discrimination she has experienced as a severely dyslexic woman trying to achieve her academic and literary goals. In her first book 'Make it Count' she details the many years she wasted trying desperately to please other people, desperate for the respect and recognition she came to understand she would never get as 'Mary, the one with dyslexia.'
Her struggle for acceptance led her to discover a universal truth that we all need to embrace in our lives, that the only measuring stick for success should be our own, that whatever you're trying to achieve you must achieve it for yourself. In her second book 'How to Make it Count' Mary expounds on this powerful message, as well as detailing the other forces in her life that have brought her joy and healing of which spending time in nature is foremost.
As a qualified healer in Reiki and the Connection of Shifting Mary will take her readers on a journey that teaches them how to combine the spiritual, mental and physical realms of themselves so that they can live more connected lives.
