In the eerie Appalachian town of Hollow Ridge, strange things don't just happen-they linger. At the center of it all is Emily Crane, a teenage girl who returns home after years away, only to uncover the sinister, supernatural roots of her family's past. What begins as whispers in the woods quickly escalates into a terrifying journey through cursed mirrors, vanishing children, and a haunted forest that remembers everything. Known only as the Hollow, this ancient entity feeds on memory, grief, and fear-taking the form of lost loved ones and echoing the deepest wounds of those who enter its domain. Emily discovers she is connected to the Hollow more than anyone else. Her sister Abigail disappeared years ago in the same woods. Now, guided by visions and cryptic symbols, Emily dives headfirst into the mystery, uncovering horrifying truths: The Hollow isn't a place-it's a living force. Her bloodline is bound to it. And it's learning to imitate those it consumes. Along the way, Emily is haunted by the ghostly figure of Elias, her cousin and fellow Hollow survivor, who straddles the line between memory and monster. She faces distorted reflections, root-choked dreams, and the disturbing choir of the Hollow, which tries to steal her voice-and her soul. As she journeys deeper, she finds a house beneath a creek, a cathedral of trees filled with the faces of the forgotten, and a final, pulsing tree at the heart of the forest. But the closer she gets to the root of the evil, the more she questions her own identity. In the gripping final chapters, Emily performs a ritual that burns away the Hollow's power, releasing trapped souls-including Elias and Abigail-and restoring balance to the land. But not without a cost.
