Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) represent a major problem for patient safety. Their prevention is fundamentally based on standard hospital hygiene precautions. Training in these precautions is the cornerstone of all HCAI prevention and control programs. Medical simulation is a teaching method used for training, training evaluation and risk management. It facilitates the anchoring of knowledge and the acquisition of individual and collective safety reflexes. Simulation in the form of a room of errors (ROE) aims to provide warning signals by showing the pitfalls to be avoided, in order to reduce undesirable events and promote vigilance in the face of errors. By adopting a risk management approach, CDE enables learners to better learn and memorize simulated events. This could improve the training of health science students in the prevention of healthcare-associated infectious risks.
