When men fail to remain in regular fellowship with the Lord, they become vulnerable to listening to the wrong voices and can become easily distracted from their purpose. The decline of our culture, characterized by social ills, moral decay, and violence, is a sign that men have not taken their position under God seriously. God expects men who have a relationship with Him to bring Heaven to earth by fulfilling His commands in their families and their spheres of influence. This can only happen if men allow God to operate in them, through them, for them, and by them.
In chapter 1, the very pertinent question, 'Why Am I Here?' will be answered. You will gain clarity and receive answers to your heart-throbbing questions about purpose.
In chapters 2 and 3, you will learn the recognizable traits of a godly man and be able to determine if you truly identify as one. At the end of these chapters, you'll not only know who a godly man is but you'll also be armed with the requisite knowledge to become one yourself.
As men, our actions and inactions will have a ripple effect on our children and even generations unborn.
In chapter 10, we will see why and how this is a recurring phenomenon.
When many Christian and even non-Christian women are asked the qualities they need in a man, one of their foremost responses is usually something along the lines of 'He must be God-fearing'. It is little wonder, however, because the fear of God is what will keep a man in check. There is something attractive that drives a sense of peace and security in a home and in society, when a man has a relationship with God and is guided by the Holy Spirit.
I encourage you, the reader, to take the principles outlined in this book and put them into action in your life. Set goals for strengthening your relationship with God, and make a plan for how you can fulfill your mandate as a husband, father, and leader in your community. Remember, you have the power to make a positive impact on the world around you. Don't be afraid to rise to the challenge and fulfill your calling as a godly man. Share this book with others and join a community of like-minded individuals for support and accountability.
