Tyler Graves had formed a habit of going to his favorite coffee house on Saturday Mornings. He wasn't alone, every Saturday more people seemed to gather to listen to the peaceful ambience created by the young man playing solo guitar there. When Tyler introduced himself, he found they shared a love of Jesus and the gift of crafting songs.
Paul Ryder was only nineteen when his parents tragically died, leaving him to step up and be responsible for his younger siblings, his sister Zoe and brother Benjamin. For the past five years it had been just the three of them. When Paul met Tyler Graves their love for Christ, music and songwriting was the foundation of a great team. They knew it wasn't just coincidence that Tyler's friend Angel was a dynamite singer or that Zoe and Benjamin played drums and bass like a trained rhythm section. It wasn't random chance that through their love of Christ a strong bond was formed. Not just friendship, but more, a spiritual bond. The name that Jesus bestows on those who will go forth and do his Father's will on earth. FAMILY.
They formed a band, using Tyler's Crossroads message to call the addicted, broken, and lost to the Lord. With their Hope Springs family behind them, supporting them, they set out to do what God had called them to do.
As fate would have it, while out shopping for equipment in a large music outlet Paul is approached by a man who appreciates his guitar work. The man informs him that he is a manager and promoter in the music industry and would like to hear the band. They play a live song for him on the spot and give him a demo CD. After hearing them play and hearing their story he offers to represent them. The Man? Damon Blackwell. The manager of Hype, the most popular band in the world.
After prayer and counsel, they accept the offer, but will have three months before he can work with them because of a European tour with Hype.
While playing for a revival they meet a displaced and out of place young girl who is drawn to their music. Patience is the last survivor in her family and the last student of her grandfather, a legendary saxophone player from the Big Easy. God had brought her to this unlikely place to put her in her place... His family.
With Patience in the band, they soar even higher as they record new tracks and prepare to take the message to the masses with the backing of Hype Productions.
Rarely do coincidences occur, seldom do random paths cross, not often will serendipity lend a hand and things just happen to work out. But sometimes when you're on the right path, for the right reason with the right people.... sometimes..... It's a God Thing!
