This is a simplified adaptation, not the unabridged original novel. Sentence structure, vocabulary, and grammar have all been intentionally leveled to A1, so some of Baum's original descriptive language has been trimmed. If you want the full unabridged classic, this isn't it - but if you want French for beginners that still tells a real, beloved story, this is exactly that.
