What does it actually take to change - not as a belief, but as a felt experience in the body?

The FELT-FIBRE Participant Book is the complete practice companion for the Felt programme: ten lessons, each addressing one of the emotional systems that shape how we experience safety, connection, and self-worth. It is both a course guide and a standalone resource - everything you need is here, whether you are working with a teacher and group or practising independently.

At the heart of the programme is the salience signalling sequence: eleven precisely ordered body-based components, each delivering a specific prediction error against the brain's most persistent and suffering-inducing predictions. The sequence addresses three primary priors - the prediction that the world is not safe, that genuine connection is unavailable, and that the self is fundamentally inadequate. These priors cannot be argued away. They require evidential, body-based counter-signals, delivered in the right order, at the right depth.

The ten lessons move through the full terrain of human emotional experience: from existential safety and attachment, through agency, boundaries, and status, to caregiving, intimacy, meaning, and the approach to mortality. Each lesson explains the system it addresses, why it becomes dysregulated, and how the sequence works to update it. Each comes with full written practices and accompanying audio tracks - the audio is the primary way to work with the material, allowing you to stay inside the experience rather than reading ahead.

The poems in this book are part of the practice - not decoration, not afterthought. Written to carry the same nervous system signals as the sequence itself - expansive, grounded, nature-rooted - they arrive at what explanation cannot reach. Each has its own audio track.

You do not need a scientific background to use this book. The introduction explains the framework in plain language that builds naturally into each lesson. But if you find yourself curious about the deeper mechanistic account - why each component works, which fibre pathways carry each signal, why the sequence cannot be reordered without losing its effect - the full scholarly reference is available in FELT-FIBRE: The Science Foundation.

Most books about change ask you to think differently. This one asks something harder and more honest: to stay present long enough for the body to receive evidence it has never quite trusted before.

If you have ever felt that something in you needed to shift - not be managed, not be reframed, but actually shift - this is the book you have been waiting for. Not because it promises transformation by chapter three. But because it takes the question seriously, gives the body what it actually needs, and trusts you to do the rest.

The nervous system does not update through insight. It updates through experience - repeated, accumulated, slept on, carried forward.

Change is gradual, evidential, and built from the accumulated testimony of the body's own experience. It is not declared; it is earned.
