He found a weapon that shouldn't exist. He used it to save his brothers. It cost him an empire - and the world's only memory of it.
AD 376. The Roman frontier is starving. The Thirteenth Gemina holds a collapsing line along the Danube, refugees choke every road south, and a legionnaire named Marcus Aelius Varro is just trying to keep eight hundred hungry men alive one more season.
Then he finds a ship that shouldn't be there.
Within days, he's a legend. Within weeks, the Roman Senate declares him a god. Within months, he's Emperor of Rome - chosen by senators desperate for a miracle, worshipped by soldiers who no longer recognize their friend, and hunted by rivals who want the fire pointed at each other instead of the enemy.
THE EMPEROR TIME FORGOT is a fast-paced alternate-history thriller that fuses the grit of Roman military fiction with first-contact science fiction and a time-travel tragedy at its core - for fans of stories where ancient history collides with technology beyond its time, and where the greatest battle a soldier ever fights is against the myth built around him.
A story of duty, forbidden power, and the terrible cost of being remembered by history - or forgotten by it entirely.
