Asthma in high school students is often under-diagnosed, which can affect their academic performance. High school students with asthma may face challenges related to the management of their condition, especially in the school environment. We conducted this study to investigate the particularities of asthma in high school students. The mean age of onset of asthma symptoms was 11.48 4.08 years. The average duration of asthma was 39.95 41.35 months. Allergic manifestations in addition to asthma (rhinitis, conjunctivitis) were noted in 404 patients (82.3%). Asthma was mild in 183 patients (37.3%), moderate in 300 (61.1%) and severe in 8 (1.6%). 357 patients (72.7%) were well controlled.Asthma is a common condition among high-school students, which can lead to absences and reduced performance. School pressure and sports activities can exacerbate symptoms, making disease management crucial.
