The main symptoms of ear diseases are deafness, tinnitus, otitis media, and external otitis. Deafness, tinnitus, and otitis media often occur together, and otitis media is one of the causes of deafness and tinnitus. Although deafness and tinnitus are classified as ear or ENT in hospitals, both symptoms are related to neurodegeneration, so they can also be classified as neurodegenerative diseases . But for the PL, the name of the disease is not very important, and the classification of the department is even more meaningless, because PL aims to resolve the common cause of all diseases: blocked meridians. Therefore, diseases of various systems classified in biomedicine can be resolved by opening up the meridians. For example, diseases of the digestive system, nervous system, blood circulation system, endocrine system, skeletal system, reproductive and urinary system, etc. can all be resolved and improved by the same method of PL. If the word medicine must be used to symbolize a certain healing tool, then the medicine used in PL is the Qi that people are born with.
Although the causes of deafness and tinnitus are different, from a medical perspective, they all involve nerve damage. Therefore, the focus of healing is on how to repair the damaged and degenerated nerves. The nervous system, like other systems, is also composed of cells. And cells need the nourishment of Qi to function normally. Its complete statement should be that Qi and blood nourish cells. But blood is also composed of cells, and it may also malfunction due to blocked Qi supply. Moreover, in order for blood to reach each cell, it also needs the energy of Qi to drive it. Therefore, in essence, the nourishment, repair, and regeneration of all cells rely on Qi. Because Qi is not ordinary energy, but energy that contains life information. In other words, it not only provides energy and nutrition to cells, but also knows the direction of cell development, that is, which cells need to be repaired, which need to regenerate, and which need to stop regenerating and be excreted from the body.
The meridians that are directly connected to the ear are the triple burner meridian, the small intestine meridian, and the gallbladder meridian. The first two meridians run from the hand to the head, and the gallbladder meridian runs from the head to the foot. Since the ear nerve is related to the brain, and the brain is connected to the heart through the heart meridian, the heart, pericardium, kidney, bladder meridians related to the heart and brain, as well as the twelve meridians of the whole body, are all related to ear diseases in various ways. Since these meridians are all on the limbs and the head, opening them up will heal the ear disease. For those with many complications, it is best to slap and stretch the whole body.
Whether the above principle is valid can only be proven by clinical experiments. For the convenience of inquiry, I roughly categorize the causes of ear diseases. In addition to otitis media, the side effects of drugs and various chronic diseases are the most obvious causes of ear diseases, and these two are difficult to separate, because the treatment of chronic diseases requires the use of various drugs with great side effects. The third type of cause is caused by trauma and unknown reasons, and the fourth type is ear disease caused by aging and systemic functional degeneration. In fact, most of this category is also related to the second category, because the elderly often have chronic diseases and take medication for a long time. Because tinnitus and deafness often occur together, even if they occur independently, the PL is the same, so they are not listed separately.
