Mayhem is unleashed when an ancient spell is used, unwittingly, by a little known 80's rock band, Dogs Diablo, as part of their act at a prehistoric stone circle. Time and space begin to unravel, with potentially disastrous consequences. The boundaries between the worlds of planet Earth and the far-distant planet of Xi become blurred, and the hapless band somehow find themselves transported to the strange and dangerous world of Xi. Enter Frea, a feisty young Xian witch, and her uncle Arthakary Demus, a sorcerer, who, along with his fellow sorcerers, inhabits a strange pan-dimensional time-machine called Thramod. It is up to them to try to put things right before it is too late. This involves locating and returning the band to their own planet, Earth, along with the book of spells. Sounds simple? Think again. Apart from having to rescue the four intellectually challenged musicians, their efforts are thwarted by Wicket, a crazy megalomaniacal cat with the ability to talk, and the Spinning Doors Invastabrux, a sentient machine that powers Thramod. Throw into the mix the various exotic characters that try to help Frea in her quest and those, who, in the name of the much feared Dark Lord, try to hinder her, and you have a hilarious roller-coaster of an adventure.
