What responsibilities do unaccompanied minor refugees have? Are there responsibilities that they bring with them from their country of origin and are expected to fulfil? The rapidly rising number of unaccompanied minor refugees and the unpredictability of their reception currently present social work with a number of challenges. This societal change and the resulting need for social work to address these issues are essential. Unfortunately, there has been little academic research on this topic to date. For this reason, I have explored the question outlined above through an expert interview, with the aim of providing future professionals with confidence in dealing with unaccompanied refugee children.
