For millennia, astrology has offered an insightful system of appraisal for those seeking to understand human personality. In the modern era, objective psychological inquiry has often arrived at conclusions regarding human charecter that are remarkably similar to the traits described in the ancient system of astrology. Such is the case with the great founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, who developed a scheme for appraising the attributes of human character not unlike the age old appraisals of those who find meaning in the moment of one's birth..This compact overview of astrological symbolism and Freudian psychoanalysis lays out the basics in both systems and the remarkable similarities between them. If one wishes to understand the rudiments of astrology, of psychoanalysis, or just gain insight into human motivation and behavior, this concise overview offers a fascinating new/old way to look at human personality.
