By bringing together experts from diverse disciplines, including the American Society of Transplantation (AST), the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO), American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST), Donate Life America (DLA), the Neurocritical Care Society (NCS), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the The Society for the Advancement of Transplant Anesthesia (ASATA), and several organ procurement organizations, we have created a comprehensive resource that addresses the complexities and challenges of DCD programs. The insights and strategies presented in this guide are rooted in the effective practices from programs across the country, offering practical solutions to improve outcomes for donors and recipients alike.
