Bea was born in New York during the Great Depression Era. Her poems and essays contain wisdom that only comes from a long life well-lived. Not a perfect life--she's the child of divorced parents, and life during her childhood was far from easy. But that is where wisdom comes from. She has been through the trauma of divorce from her first husband, the loss of a much-loved child, and witnessing September 11, when she and her husband, Steve, happened to be visiting friends in NYC.
