The story begins with a young British woman, the daughter of a clergyman, who has worked as a personal maid and carer to an annoying elderly woman for the past five years in order to support herself and her lifestyle. She responds to a newspaper ad placed by a supposedly wealthy elderly guy looking for a wife out of a need for change. At the restaurant where he told her to meet him, but after waiting for him and sitting at the restaurant, she met with a man and both of them sat together. As romance goes, one thing leads to another, and after two days, they get married. The man has showered her with gifts, clothes, and living accommodations beyond her wildest expectations because she is hopelessly in love with him, her first love. She eventually discovers that he is not who he initially appeared to be.....Then what will she do with him? What will happen to this man? How will she overcome this shock? The suspense has not been disclosed to read the ending, readers should go through the book.
